These are the moments that keep us awake in bed at 2am in the morning. The moments that cause us to ask, " Why did I do that?!"
This month's theme for the Community of YANA has been, "We have all been there". It has been a much needed one for me, and I hope for you too.
Perhaps it is because all too often, I forget that we are all human beings, and that we all do cringey stuff sometimes.

Remember to never look down on yourself.
Remember that the way you treat yourself is the way you treat others.
You must love God, then love yourself, then love others just as you love yourself.
The way you treat yourself must be the standard for how you treat others.
In other words, you are the standard you set for how you must treat others.
God is kind to me. I am kind to myself. I will be kind to another.
God loves me. I love myself. I will love another.
God forgives me. I forgive myself. I will forgive another.
This pattern gets distorted when I treat myself unkindly:
God forgives me. I do not forgive myself. I do not forgive another.
God does not judge me. I judge myself. I will judge another.
This is also a reminder that the next time someone treats you unkindly, they most likely treat themselves much worse. The next time someone says something rude or mean to you, then the words they use for themselves are not kind either.
We are human beings.
If God loves you as infinitely and unmeasurably as He does, then why do you not love yourself, why do you treat yourself so unkindly and miserably?
God, who created the stars and the sky and beautiful birds and creatures, considers you the most beautiful of all His creation.
He looked at you and said that you were not just good, but very good.
Walk like it, talk like it, behave like it. Accept his goodness, then spread His goodness.
We are human. We make mistakes. We forgive ourselves just as God has forgiven us. We move on.
"As a father is kind to his children, so the LORD is kind to those who honour Him.
He knows what we are made of, He remembers that we are dust. " -Psalms 103 verses 13-14
" Three times I prayed to the Lord about this and asked Him to take it away. But His answer was: " My grace is all you need, for My power is greatest when you are weak.
I am happy, then, to be proud of my weaknesses, in order to feel the protection of Christ's power over me.
I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and difficulties for Christ's sake.
For when I am weak, then I am strong." - 2 Corinthians 12 verses 8-10
Making mistakes does not exclude anyone from God's love.
God loves each and every one of us.
You Are Never Alone
