Lesson 18- Wait a bit before you make a decision

I really wanted to live somewhere different. One afternoon, I got a call offering me a place somewhere else. In an hour, I had agreed. They began the contract process immediately. However, the more I thought about it, I realized the disadvantages. I slept on it and decided not to follow through.

The consequences of pulling out ofthe initial decision were major. By God's grace, things worked out.

When you have to make a huge decision that will affect you for a long time; sleep on it, pray, ask wise people about it. No matter how impatient you or the other person is, take time to decide, not so long that you overthink it, but just enough.

At the moment, it may feel like something you really want to do. But often times, when one thinks more about it, you realize the consequences that will occur.

And even if you make the wrong decision, it's a lesson and one more step taken in the journey of life. If it turns out to be a wrong or right decision, at least you made one.
